To be honest, it was quite recent. I was very conflicted on what I wanted to do whether it be university or an apprenticeship ,let alone the sector I wanted to work in, and I needed some time to think.
It was after my experience with Springpod I figured out I had an interest in business and finance. Getting exposure to the industry spiked an interest and since then it has grown tremendously and I’m very passionate about what I do.
The accessibility. I liked how Springpod was virtual. With the pandemic I struggled to find in person work experience and Springpod ensured I didn’t miss out on any opportunities. It was easy to use and very interactive with activities and tasks that kept you engaged.
Springpod allowed me to get a taste of the sector , the finance work experience covered many different topics such as accounting and investments. This gave me a great overview of the industry and the different career paths available to me.
Be resilient.
There’s so many opportunities out there and it’s easy to be overwhelmed on where to start looking. Then you might find something you love but get rejected, but it’s important to remember everything will fall into place eventually. The perfect opportunity is out there and it’s important to remember your end goal.
